Easy read of the poem in the image above:

dispatch ix.

with solemn fingers, i dig

for some part yet undiscovered,

some part of me that tells me who i am.

the hospital room slips away, the gruesome yellow

of the foggy tornado sky

left in memory,

and so goes my home,

my birthplace, the place

my brain bloomed into existence.

scraping along my pericardium, I find words and letters,

lines of poetry in a scrawled cascade,

and it doesn't bring me peace—

there is no rest for victims of the wicked—

but it's something to bite into,

something to make my own,

bloody teeth and all.
